How Counselling & Psychotherapy Can Help You

Counselling provides a safe, supportive place to explore and work through your experiences of abuse.

  • Counselling is a two-way relationship, in which the counsellor listens to whatever you want to say, in confidence and without making judgements
  • It is a safe environment to explore your issues, become aware of your choices and build on the inner resources you already have
  • This could be an issue from your past, present or anything that concerns you about the future
  • Counselling will help you to break away from past abusive relationships and work towards living in a way which is more satisfactory and fulfilling for you. It can also help you to build up your self-esteem
  • Counselling and Psychotherapy can support you to find solutions that are right for you
  • Psychotherapy tends to be more intensive than counselling, and may continue for a longer period of time, as issues are explored in more depth
